Explore And Discover Kittens Card

Day eight of the coloring challenge! Today's project is complete. It is a little challenging juggling our travel prep tasks with crafting and trying not to annoy the hubby with my crazy daily coloring frenzy. Today's project is another pencil coloring project. I used the same collection of random pencils as I used on yesterday's project. Today's project is the cutest darn stamp from Whimsy Stamps called Purr-fect Picnic Cats by Chrissy Armstrong. 

I was so surprised while looking for papers that I found a perfect match in my 6 x 6 pads. Yes the paper is supposed to be brick but for this project I call it basketweave. I added a base layer of clouds. The word "explore" and "discover" of course describe our inquisitive kittens.I created a shadow layer to help make them pop since they span the white and the basketweave layer. 

I hesitated to tear the basketweave paper, but went for it and it is a nice match with the watercolor paper. The finished dimensions are custom, 5" x 5 1/2" inches.
