I cannot believe that it is already September! Typically hub and I would be prepping for travel to somewhere south for the winter. However, this year we plan to limit our travels and will stay in the Pacific Northwest along the coast. My fingers are crossed for a mild winter!

Today I am joining the Kre8tors blog hop and our theme this month is either brides or babies. I chose babies and made both a boy and girl card. Perhaps you are starting the hop with my blog or you might have just come from Annette's blog, she always creates amazing projects! In either case welcome, I hope you enjoy what I have to share with you.

I thought it would be fun to choose a fellow demonstrator's free design pdf. Here it is: Free PDF which includes all of the die cut sizes to make.

I changed the cardstock colors, the banner layer, twine and the tag itself. The square layers for both cards are the same. In place of the white I used pattern DSP, pink for a girl and blue for a boy, and then I added matching sequins.

I have a couple ot tips to share.Mats For September 2019 Kre8tors Blog Hop | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

First,  I chose to match the color of cardstock for the largest mat and largest square so I could cut out the square from the largest mat, saving material. I make a rule of always cutting out a shape from the mat layers for use later.

The next tip I have is how best to adhere small sequins. I've struggled with using "dots" as they are hard to divide up into the smaller bits needed. The other issue with them is that they always add some height to the smallest sequin making it lie crooked. So, I've stopped using dots and now use multipurpose liquid glue.Use Take Your Pick Tool & Glue For Sequins | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com I use Stampin' Up!'s Take Your Pick tool which has a sticky end making it very easy to pickup the tiny sequin, I then apply a very small amount of the glue to the back and set it down. You can use your finger or a toothpick to remove it from the sticky end. I do still use dots for the larger sequins, but the glue would work just as well.

And here are the finished cards.
