Deer In The Forest Card

I was remiss this year and missed mailing this card to my father in law whose birthday was 1/22. Alas it will have to go out in Monday's mail. I created an Ombre background with a masked off sun/moon and added the die cut deer in the front. I really wanted to use this Stampin up Wonderland tree cluster as I like the height on these trees over others that I have. I was VERY tempted to add metallic baker's twine, but I know that would not be to his liking so I placed the deer down around the sentiment and did add a very thin line of shimmery bronze paper with the burnt orange layer. I don't often go with black for the base, but this time black felt right.
