Just A Note Media Flower

Since I now have my Holtz Watercolor Cardstock out I made another watercolor project. I used Holtz Distress Inks, in marker and reinker format to build up my own background. I then used my new silver gilder's paste with a script text stencil and put down some partial words and in the upper right corner is the word "Art". I used a couple more stencils on the bottom with texture paste.

Finally I stamped my flower image in StazOn. I had masked off the image thinking I would leave a white border with a side ways sentiment, but my sentiment did not stamp well so I ended up cutting to the color, distressed my paper edges, popped it up with dimensionals and redid the sentiment on the base. I love this particular Clearly Besotted sentiment set. It took much will power to leave the card as is and not add any more embellishing.

Distress Ink colors used:

  • Forest Moss
  • Scattered Straw
  • Wild Honey
  • Picked Rasberry

I entered this project in the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Make your own background
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Use a little green and Clearly Besotted
Splitcoast Stampers Color Challenge - CC573 (I used the second row of colors, green, yellow, white and berry)
