For this project I actually read the challenges and understood the one to be CAS (Clean and Simple). However try as I might, I was just not satisfied with anything really simple and this was the closest I could get.

Another Challenge that inspired this project is this weeks Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Inspired by a song. It so happens theres a pretty current dance song in 70s funk style out in which the words are hard to hear. Toward the end I decidedly hear "daffodil" at that point I was curious and looked the song up and found out for sure it did have the word daffodil in it. Ironically it is called "Daffodils" and Kevin Spacey (yes the actor) is credited with being involved in it. Go figure.

This card was super simple for me to make. I chose a full background die That I believe is a retired Memory Box die that I got in a lot off of Ebay last year. Behind the background die is copper satin glimmer cardstock popped up on a white base. I popped up the daffodils which I cutout using a stitched oval. I colored the Daffodils with Copic Sketch markers. Colors used were the following:

flowers: Y21, Y32, YR14, YR18
Stems/Leaves: YG01, G20, G21, G24
Sky: B0000, B000

I am entering this project in the following challenges:

Splitcoast Stampers Clean and Simple challenge - CAS365
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Inspired by a song
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes

I am giving this to my mother-in-law for her birthday which is right around the corner!
