Meerkat Masculine Happy Birthday Card

Hub and I are still in our home area thanks to a big snow storm that rolled in last week. We haven't seen this much snow in years. It was 3" the first day, 8" by day three and then after it started to melt, we woke up to a fresh blanket of 3". Our new truck handles the snow and ice quite well considering we have highway tires on it. 

We were fortunate enough to go spend time with hub's family to celebrate his dad's birthday. On his dad's PC is a picture of a lounging meerkat, so when I saw the Sale-A-Bration stamp set, " The Gang's All Meer" I knew I had to get it!

This is what I came up with. I could not really use the "group" stamp. Instead I used two individual meerkats for each of us. I am the one peeking out of the hole. The sentiment is from the Special Someone stamp set, and the sentiment label die is going to be released next month. This die set coordinates with the Special Someone stamps.

I made a layered arrangement using various embossing folder.  I really love the new Coastal Weave embossing folder which is the background layer. The larger label die is the largest one from the new Stitched So Sweetly Die set.

The only embellishment was a strip of braided burlap trim. 

Blends marker colors used:

  • Light & Dark Crumbcake, Soft Suede, Call Me Clover, Pineapple Punch
  • Ivory
  • Color Lifter
