March 2019 - Stamp 'N Hop Blog Hop - Easter

Today is the Stamp 'N Hop - Easter theme blog hop. After a cold and snowy February, I am happy to report that it is in the 70's where we are staying in southern Arizona. It feels like spring while I color in the warm sun!

For this month's hop, I have CASE'd a cute Easter card from a fellow demonstrator Penni Behr, I changed the foliage, coloring and sentiment.  I plan to make variations of this card design for my card-pals (like a pen-pal, only we send cards). The pieces that have been dry embossed with the Subtle embossing folder are the same as on her card, however I did create the bunny from Fable Friends as a separate layer wanting him to be a smooth finish for more contrast.

The Subtle embossing folder is my absolute favorite embossing folder of all time. I remember going to the the big box stores looking for textured cardstock that matched my smooth cardstock. Stampin' Up! makes managing cardstock so much easier by having such useful embossing folders that make your smooth cardstock into any texture you might need!

Three "Wonderful Romance" bundle dies were used: the lattice with leaves and the foliage dies. I did leave the sentiment on smooth cardstock like the bunny for contrast and the sentiment is from the stamp set Fable Friends.

Dimenstionals were carefully cut down to fit behind the lattice. The stitched oval and the bunny were also popped up. I shaped a few of the leaves as well.

Bunny: A full range of light to dark brown using Crumb Cake and Soft Suede light and dark Blends
Bunny's blue jacket: Balmy Blue light and dark.
Bunny's ears: Petal Pink light.
Highlights: .5 white gel pen
