Retiring Blue Oval Frame Sympathy Card | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

Today I am joining the NC Demos blog hop. We are focusing on retiring products as this is the last weekend before the new annual catalog launch.

If you just came from Ariel's blog, I hope you found her creation inspiring. Be sure to leave her a comment if you haven't already! If you are joining the hop starting with my blog, welcome, please enjoy our projects and I hope you. Even though the focus is on retiring products, these creations will hopefully inspire you to break out whatever supplies you have and make something!

This came out elegant, but not flowery which make a perfect sympathy card for my stash. The retiring DSP and oval frame are going into my permanent stash, I am ever so sad that the heirloom coordinating frame dies and embossing folders are retiring because they really give a card a great 3D effect. I enhanced the look of the frame by using dimensionals to pop up the frame.

I chose to use die cut sprigs and leaves with a plain white bow to achieve my goal of an elegant, yet simple card. It isn't that I don't love flowers, quite the opposite, which is why this project was so challenging for me.

What is not retiring: cardstock, ink, embossing powder, dimensionals

Sneak Peek: Seaside Spray leaves die, Whisper White trim. Note these will not be added to the below supplies list until they go live on June 3rd.

Thank you for joining us today. I hope you enjoyed a last look at the retiring products. Wow, that's a beautiful card, Tracy! I'm keeping my dies as well :)

Your card has such a beautiful elegance to it. Great job!

I love everything about your card! Thanks so much for sharing it!

Your card is beautiful! It has a very elegant feel. I am really surprised that the Heirloom Frames Dies and Embossing Folders are retiring.

WOW! Your card is stunning! The colors and the textures are just perfect. Like you, I am also surprised that the Heirloom Frame dies and embossing folders are retiring. They add such a wonderful effect to cards. Thanks so much for sharing your gorgeous card!

Tracy, this is gorgeous! I have this die/EF set and I always think I have to use foil. This is so elegant and soft - I love it.

Beautiful card and soft colors. The blue is really pretty and the frame very delicate.

I love this suit. Somehow I find I never pull it out to use it. I am sad to see it go. You did a very lovely card. I am in love with your color palate too.
