Retiring Showcase - Happy Birthday Time Flies Card

Last week was a very busy Stampin' Up! week. Each April Stampin' Up! posts the upcoming new catalog pdf, and the retiring lists for all products that are NOT carrying over to the new annual catalog that launches every June. Libby and I like to get together to walk through new catalogs. It is so fun to share in the excitement of sharing our thoughts about the content one page at a time.

We discuss the cover, any new marketing changes, as well as the specific products. Both of us work(ed) in marketing and we value the effort that goes into each catalog's design and layout. After spending a few hours chatting, we set a date to craft. 

Our crafting time was focused on using our retiring products that had seen little to no action. This is the first project. I suggested combining three different online crafting challenges. Two are still active so I have joined them, I have linked all three below.

Notable products NOT retiring include the stitched rectangle dies, the dotted mask, texture past, Blends markers and the cardstock. NOTE: Stampin' Up!'s SNAIL adhesive IS retiring, and will be replaced by a new adhesive product "SEAL"

I chose to create an "hb!" card using letter dies which is a first for me. The clock signifies time passing by quickly. This card is very specific for a co-worker from prior to retirement, which was over three years ago now. Time does literally fly by!

I colored the clock very quickly with Blends markers, Daffodil Delight light and dark.
