Peacock Amazing You Card

I had the pleasure of crafting at Libby's today. We worked on color challenge cards. It is so much more fun for me to craft with friends. Hub isn't bad, but he refuses to craft with me (imagine that!). For this week's color challenge, the colors weren't as big of a mental block as the previous two challenges.

When I first laid out the three colors I thought, oh boy it's going to be another hard one, but as I got into it my creative juices flowed like I would like them to. There's nothing worse than a combination of colors that don't inspire me.

This week's colors are: Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight. And here is this weeks inspiration image:

I still have some new Occasions and SAB stamp sets that are new and unused, so I sorted through them and picked the SAB free stamp set "Beautiful Peacock" and I cut dies from the SAB thinlits dies set "Celebrate Amazing You". I borrowed a circle die to cutout the peacock. And then borrowed a circle die for the sun. I have a pretty set of glitter enamel dots which aren't a perfect match, but because they come in gradients I was able to get very close to all three colors.

I finished the project off with white ribbon and a snippet of pretty fiber from my meager fiber collection. The fiber was the only non-Stampin' Up! item on the project. Oh and I love, love, love the Tutti Frutti cards and envelope set which is also a free SAB item. I was able to use the blue this week.

I am entering this project in the following challenges:
