Yellow Magnolia Birthday Card
With my wrist officially given the thumbs up from the surgeon, I went to my mom's for a couple of crafting days. It was a beautiful day for the drive. She is quite a ways off I-5 but it is worth the drive. She has a small farm on 5 acres with dogs, horses and a big garden. We lived there for nine months in our trailer so her dogs get very excited excited when we come to visit.
This was my first project I worked on. The flowers are electronically fussy cut. Typically when I get an order and some of the stamp sets do not have matching dies, I pull out my Brother Scan-N-Cut and cut out a bunch of images. I place them in an envelope inside the case. For my latest order I quickly cut Magnolia Blooms, Seaside Notions and Nature's Beauty. I used to have a Cameo Silhouette which could perform the cutout of stamps, but it took many steps to accomplish and the Scan-N-Cut does it all in just a few easy steps.
I colored the full flower and bud, then stamped the fancy happy birthday on Whisper White which was then cut out using a smaller stitched labels die. Using the second largest stitched label die, I cut out the Daffodil Delight written pattern DSP. When I set it on the Pear Pizzazz dry embossed using the Layered Leaves embossing folder, I thought it looked a bit too small. So, I pulled out a sheet of vellum and cut it to 2 3/4" wide.
Copper trim and one Faceted Gem colored using Mango Melody and I call this complete.
Blends used:

It is so nice to have colors that coordinate with all of the Stampin' Up! color palette. These...
