Thanks Sailboats Card | Tracy Marie Lewis

This was the second project we worked on at my crafting day with libby. I had such a struggle with this one. We made up some rules including colors: Night Of Navy, Balmy Blue and Daffodil Delight.

We then chose this sketch image as well:

The sketch is a vertical and I just could not get anything to fit vertically, here is a mock up of the closest I got. I often forget to capture the fails along the way, Libby wanted to see what I had been struggling so hard to make work. It is part of the fun of crafting with friends.

The sentiment I wanted to use covered those little boats completely (boats are from Lilypad Lake) so I gave up and went horizontal. The project came together quickly after rotating to horizontal. The sentiment fit perfectly over the larger sailboats from Sailing Home.

The Sailing Home suite of products including the stamps, dies, DSP, baker's twine and embossing folder were used. The only other product used was the smallest scalloped layering circle to make the sun. I popped up the DSP, and then popped up the boats on top of the DSP, making it two layers thick.

Thanks for stopping by, please feel free to leave comments or questions, I am here to help!
