September 2019 Stamp 'N Hop - Stamp Set or DSP
Howdy from the Pacific Northwest! We have finally had quite a bit of rain in the last week. Overall it has been very dry this summer so the rain is much needed. We have been staying at the Mount Vernon and Birch Bay Thousand Trails, both are great Thousand Trails to visit. Each has its own unique charm.
Today I am joining the Stamp 'N Hop global demonstrator group blog hop. If you came from Anastasia's blog, I hope you were inspired by her project, or if you are joining us now, welcome to the hop! Our theme is stamp set or DSP.
I chose stamp set, using Butterfly Gala. Libby and I crafted for her birthday and our first task was to create three #simplestamping cards using Butterfly Gala, with pre-set colors. I will share my favorite one. The colors were Seaside Spray, Pear Pizzazz, Flirty Flamingo and Pineapple Punch with Black for the butterflies and sentiment. We also settled on Rooted In Nature for the sentiment. We did have a Pin for inspiration, you can check it out -> HERE. The inspiration cards that we CASEd are small cards and ours are A2 size. I wanted to explore a bottom left design.
Next I stepped the card up by adding DSP on the left side to emphasize the stamped area. The focal image was trimmed to a tall narrow rectangle and was matted with a thin Seaside Spray edge. I happened to see a strip of Pineapple Punch in my stash and thought it would be a nice accent. You can see that it is shorter, but I liked the non-traditional look. Happiness Blooms enamel dots in Grapefruit Grove and Pineapple Punch were added. The finishing touch is a Polka Dot Bow.
I did not measure the stepped up version layers prior to heading to visit family for a week. Sorry about that. I will come back and add the measurements when I return.
I hope you are inspired by my projects. Please leave a comment before you continue on the hop. Next up is Rebecca who always has something fun to share.
