Rooted In Nature Sympathy Card
I received some very sad news today. A family member who has been in poor health, passed away. I need two sympathy cards for family and they will be mailed as we are currently travelling. I wanted the cards to be masculine but elegant as well. For the first one, I chose to not use any embellishments as it is being sent to a male family member. In order to give it a bit of a stepped up look without using the typical ribbon, pearls or rhinestones, I chose gold foil, and on the embossing I added gilder's paste and some sponging. I love using gilder's paste when thickness is a concern and I wanted that classy look it gives. I like the end result! Tomorrow I will figure out the second card for this project.
- Card Base - Crumb Cake folded 8 1/2" x 11" (A2)
- Mat - Very Vanilla 4" x 5 1/4"
- Embossed Background - Soft Suede 3 3/4" x 5"
- Ink - Soft Suede
- Sentiment - Itty Bitty Greetings
- Stamps & Dies - Rooted In Nature Bundle
I am entering this project in the following challenges:
