For this second Newton project I cut an oval frame for him out of the rest of my red paper scrap.

I wanted to frame Newton on an oval this time. Oval dies are a funny lot. Each set has a different width which means I own many more oval sets as the other basic shapes due to the variation in width. For this card I chose to cut a wider oval with a x stitch edge that I have the matching x...

After completing the Newton project, I needed inspiration for my next project. I went to Splitcoast stampers and surfed through this week's Featured Stamper's gallery. She has so many fun projects. I found a perfect project for my inspiration. It has the card, which is a scene with three penguins and in the background were MARKERS! I felt like a coloring project and armed with my inspiration I...

I started this project for the Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge #38 Color challenge then I added the challenge Scrap Saturday HIMCR279.  I have limited paper choices and I pulled out all of my 6x6 pads to look for a paper with turqouise in it. I bought a few clearance sets of Authentique paper and I found a lovely paper from a summer pack that includes the blue as well as red and green....

Masculine Merry Christmas - Red Sweater and Snowflakes

I went to my 12 hour crop intending to work on some projects. What I like most about going is the camraderie with fellow crafters. One gal gave me a 6 x 6 dry embossed sweater that is a new Stampin' Up Embossing folder. Her mother was there and she had brought the folder so I was able to make a white and grey as well. I am still pondering their future. I wanted to make a horizontal card which...

Winter Wishes - Snowy Lane - Distress Ink Snow

This is a very easy stamp to use. I fell in love with Penny Black's Hidden Path red rubber stamp. It is a 5 x 7 so for my A2 card size I was able to choose what portion of the image I wanted to incorporate into my project. I inked with four different distress inks, then I spritzed the stamp to diffuse some of the color. I placed my paper face down on the stamp and rubbed the surface carefully...

Woodland Deer - Let it Snow Card

Woodland Deer - Let It Snow | Tracy Marie Lewis |

Not ready to be finished with my favorite woodland theme, I made one last woodland card. For this one I pulled out all the stops. I started with a grey background and used white gel pen to create snow falling. I used a Cottage Cutz tree die in the back right corner for some depth, then I added a snowy hill.

In front of all those layers I used white vellum to give a sort of foggy...

Tis The Season Deer in Woods Card

After making the star and leaping deer card, I decided to use the same sentiment as on that card but this time using my woodland dies. I picked a light blue grunge patterned background and dry embossed it with falling snow - LOVE this embossing folder, I put it in the supplies list below. I cut out a snow bank and edged it with Distress Stickles designer Clear Rock Candy.

I cut the...

Tis The Season Deer and Star Distressed Card

Tis the Season Leaping Deer Card | Tracy Marie Lewis |

This is a mix of my two favorite Christmas card styles. Distressed wood grain with layers of stars mixed with woodland deer. I colored the seam tape ribbon with Copic Marker (G29) and Alcohol to give the varied green, I scrunched it up in a baggie then took it out to dry. I layered a very fine white lace ribbon with it to make the bow. I used some textured mint green holiday craftpaper for the...

This card is a combo challenge card. I am camping this week in our trailer. It is out second trip away from "home" which is a misnomer since where ever we go, our home comes with us. We camped just north of my husband's family so we could head there for Thanksgiving dinner. Earlier today we took a walk along the trail marked on the RV Camp's map. It started nice and easy, along a service road...

Wood Embossed Texture with Blue Sky Hello Feather Card

Wood and Clouds Feather Hello Card | Tracy Marie Lewis |

When I first started making cards I saved a card design that is still on my laptop to this day. If I knew who made it I would gladly give them credit as I CASEd that card to make this one. It was an all white card that used a square die cut and I used oval. They had a smooth top layer with the under layer being white vertical wood grain.

I combined this old card image with a new...
