3M ATG Tape 1/4" General Use
If you use alot of tape, there is a knock-off brand out there. I've used it and it is only ok....
The day before I left for the ocean, and to be long tern traveling away from family and friends, my mom and I had a craft day together. First we went through a big box of embellishments and divided them between us with the remainder set to go to the attic. Then my mom mentioned this tutorial: Impressions of Tarnished Foil Tutorial so we did our version of it. First we chose to use heavy foil. I wanted some texture so I adhered the edges of the foil to canvas cardstock. Next we dry embossed using the Stampin' Up birch trees embossing folder. I then lightly applied Stazon black and let that dry. (in hindsight I should have heat dried it). Next came versamark on the trees followed by a generous coating of copper heat embossing powder. My mom only has a couple of colors and I am so glad she had copper as it came out awesome. I noticed much of my Stazon had become copper so I re-applied very lightly more Stazon. I feathered it where I wanted it.
That was the end of our craft day.
After arriving at the ocean, I worked on the die cuts over a couple of days using up a bunch of black and flat mettalic scraps I had in my scrap bin. I finally settled on what I wanted which included a corner full of greens, squirrels and a deer - the rest of the die cuts have been stored for later use. I also added two birds around the sentiment. I used black, matte silver and matte bronze scrap paper for all of the die cuts. I am still making Thank You cards for my stash so that is the sentiment I chose.
I liked how this came out alot. It is very different than my typical cards. I enjoy trying new techniques.
I am entering this project in the following challenges:
If you use alot of tape, there is a knock-off brand out there. I've used it and it is only ok....
This is a permanent black ink that is a basic item for the craft room. Use this to stamp images...
I bought this for woodland scenes and it works perfect!
I bought some critters dies because I love critters on my cards. Birds, squirrels, frogs,...
Love these little guys. They are PERFECT on Christmas cards!
This set of deer I could not resist. I like the smaller size and one gazing while the other is...
I bought this compact purse sized die cutting machine for use in our trailer, it does EVERYTHING...
Thanks for stopping by, please feel free to leave comments or questions, I am here to help!
