Armillary Sphere Wishing You The Best Card | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

Day twenty four sees me in a strange frame of mind. So I dug through my stamps for the strangest stamp I could find that would be something different to color. I chose a Holtz stamp. It is quite large so ends up a 6" square card. I am familiar with such contraptions, but did not know what to call it so I put my husband on task to figure out its name.

According to Wikipaedia  it is: An armillary sphere (variations are known as spherical astrolabe, armilla, or armil) is a model of objects in the sky (in the celestial sphere), consisting of a spherical framework of rings, centred on Earth or the Sun, that represent lines of celestial longitude and latitude and other astronomically important features.

Yesterday we finally started our slow travel journey, bringing with us, all of our daily responsibilities and hobbies to keep us occupied. I hope that our travels do not prevent me from completing the full 30 days of the challenge. I am sitting here working on prep for the next few days. We will be in our current location through the 27th, leaving the 28th. I did post an entry under our "Where Are We Now" menu if you'd like to see how our departure went.

I colored it a brassy gold using a variety of Copic Sketch Markers, did some shading and then used an aged parchment color for the background. I used the largest circle die that would fit on a 6" card. The die is from my Lil' Inkers Designs Dual Stitched Circles. I chose a 6" square sheet of dark grey distressed cardstock. I added the sentiment "Wishing you all the best" which is neutral for use of many occasions. We have many friends who will appreciate such an odd card so I am not worried whether it will get used or not.

Copic Sketch markers used for this project:

Y21, Y23, Y26, Y28, E84, E87, W1, W3
