3M ATG Tape 1/4" General Use
If you use alot of tape, there is a knock-off brand out there. I've used it and it is only ok....
I need one more Valentine card. Each year I make one for my mom and another for my husband. This will be for my husband. I have posted before how he likes vivid colors. I like to challenge him back by making his cards in the clean and simple style but with very intense colors. He also likes the blueprints style of stamps. I hope he enjoys this one.
I used the Splitcoast Stampers color challenge colors. I also used this weeks CAS Sketch challenge for the first time. When coloring the background I use a colorless blender to soak the paper around the blue background to achieve a disappearing effect. I like this technique and use it alot.
Initially I figured I would add a small stamped sentiment but as I searched through my DSP collection I found a 12 x 12 pad with this design paper that just happened to have a curved "LOVE" and that took care of that.
I used Stardust Stickles in the yellow portion of the wings and added a rhinestone in the O of "LOVE". I would normally cut the image out using some fancy edge die and mount it to the top of the base, so for this project, I cut out a square window and mounted the butterfly behind the opening. The curved stitched opening was made using one of my mom's dies. I am guessing it is from Gina Marie, but need to research which set it was and will update once I've added it to my supplies list..
Copic Sketch markers used:
Butterfly Wings Outside: R39, R89
Butterfly Wings Inside: YR23, YR24, YR27
Butterfly Body: C3, C5
Background: B02, B01
I entered this card in the following challenges:

This is a great set because I like the multi purpose options for this set. Easter, birthday,...
Unless you are a colorist and will use these like "all the time", I would recommend a set of 36...
This is my default Copic coloring stamping ink. I have the large, teardrop and reinker!
This stickles color is in my to go crop kit. Love the irridescent color.
Thanks for stopping by, please feel free to leave comments or questions, I am here to help!
