3M ATG Tape 1/4" General Use
If you use alot of tape, there is a knock-off brand out there. I've used it and it is only ok....
My current project is to finish four family birthday cards for January. I am blessed with an abundance of men on my side of the family so three of the cards need to be masculine. Of course I chose to make my aunt's card first:) She is a gardener, horse owner and is outdoorsy. I've had the opportunity to make her these types of cards in years past so this year she gets something magical and different. I've had a stamped mushroom fairy (Wee Snippet - Whimsy Stamps) image floating around in my Copic "to color" stash for some time.
To assist with color choices(I always struggle with this) I used this weeks Splitcoast Stampers Inspiration Challenge - Design Seeds. I used the picture of the flowers not the color swatches because the flowers include the mushroom tones I was after. (see pic below).
After Copic coloring, I used white gel pen to dot the wings, then I added tiny Aroura Borealis rhinestones to them. I colored the ribbon to match the fairies outfit and picked some fuzzy fibers to layer over the top of the ribbon which has an organza center. The fibers look better in real life than in the picture. I used a Sizzix Tag die with a sentiment from Stampin Up's Teeny Tiny Wishes. I cut out the image using Gina marie's Rounded Stitched Rectangles as well as the brown accent layer in the same die, the largest size in the die set.
Fairy: YG 91, 93
Hair and Wings: V20, V22, B000
Fairy Dress and Shoes: R81, 83, 85, RV63 (Ribbon)
Mushroom: E81, E84, E87
Dirt: E50, E51, E55
Background: B0000, B000 and Colorless Blender to get the fade.
I've entered this project in the following challenges:
