Penguins Teamwork Wreath Christmas Card |Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

After completing the Newton project, I needed inspiration for my next project. I went to Splitcoast stampers and surfed through this week's Featured Stamper's gallery. She has so many fun projects. I found a perfect project for my inspiration. It has the card, which is a scene with three penguins and in the background were MARKERS! I felt like a coloring project and armed with my inspiration I found a new Whimsy Stamps scenery image that was PERFECT. I love these cute penguins using teamwork to put their wreath on the door I bought them after the holidays so haven't used them yet.

I enjoyed coloring them with my Copic Sketch Markers. I used a Gina Marie Scalloped Frame rectangle die and popped it up. I also cut a second layer of snow and fussy cut it out to add more dimension. I wanted a thin strip of color and chose NOT to use traditional red or green. The yellow brings out the brass on the door, the bells as well as our penguins beaks and feet. I then mounted the stacked frame on a white card base. The sentiment is from clearly besotted "Sweet Little Sentiments" Stamp set. I made white highlights using absense of color as well as white gel pen.

Copic Sketch markers used:

Penguins: N4, N5, N7, Y18

Wreath: G21, G24, G28 (and hat)

Ribbon, Berries and Scarf: R24, R27, R27, R37

Door: E53, E55, E57

Bells and Door Handle: Y13, YR23, YR24

Porch: C1, C3
