3M ATG Tape 1/4" General Use
If you use alot of tape, there is a knock-off brand out there. I've used it and it is only ok....
I started this project for the Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge #38 Color challenge then I added the challenge Scrap Saturday HIMCR279. I have limited paper choices and I pulled out all of my 6x6 pads to look for a paper with turqouise in it. I bought a few clearance sets of Authentique paper and I found a lovely paper from a summer pack that includes the blue as well as red and green. Because I have so many Newton's Nook stamp sets I spent some time looking on the Anthropologie website to glean some further inspiration for this project. I picked the lights chocolates which directed me to the stamp of newton playing in Christmas lights.
From there I colored the mischevious Newton. I have the matching die cuts so was able cut him out. Then I die cut two layers using leftover christmas solids that I have been keeping for a project like this one. A red scrap cut using a Gina Marie pierced fancy label die worked perfect to frame our naughty Newton. I then cut a Gina Marie tree out of a green scrap to offset and add more to the story of this card.
I planned two Newton cards using this striped paper so I decided to divide up one sheet between the two. I rarely make horizontal cards and given the pieces I'd already cut, I envisioned this card using a 2'ish inch wide strip of the stripes. which I then edged with 1 1/6th of turquoise glitter paper from a 4 x 6 The Paper Studio pad I bought at Hobby Lobby last year. I put it all together and finished it off with some wintery sequins. The sentiment came with the same Newton stamp set and I decided to try vellum which I very rarely use. It seems a popular medium this season so I gave it a try, and it worked nicely. I added some highlights using a white gel pen.
Copic Sketch Markers used:
Newton: C3, R30

I love this set, can't wait until 2016 Christmas card making commences!
This was just so darn cute I bought it. It was after 2015 Christmas cards were finished up so...
This was part of my large order I placed to test this new die brand out. Cannot be more happy...
Really cute, I can thing of lots of uses for this, and for the price it could not be beat!
Unless you are a colorist and will use these like "all the time", I would recommend a set of 36...
Thanks for stopping by, please feel free to leave comments or questions, I am here to help!

This card is so cute! The added teal in the paper and sequins is perfect for this color theme! I also love the tree behind the kitty with the christmas lights! Thanks for getting inky with us and linking up to our inky paws challenge!
