Celebrate Grey Crazy Cat Card

The background on this card was fun to make. I used stencils in three ways. After finishing the base background ombre in a rainbow of colors. I used a stencil and pulled up some of the color by blotting with a wet papertowel. next I colored a filigree stencil using Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Finally I used a chevron stencil with texture paste.

I noticed that the texture paste quickly became saturated with the background color so I let it dry completely and added a second layer and it picked up the color as well. So, if you want your texture paste to stay white, I suggest spray finishing your background prior to adding the texture paste.

The sentiment is from Paper Smooches Bold Buzzwords. I popped up the cat, balloon and gift and tied the balloon to the cat's tail with black twine.

I really like how this came out!
