For my recovery this week I am trying to work a little on cards each day. My mom still helps with some steps, like running dies through her BigShot for me. I am working on 4th of July theme cards right now. I do not own many stamps and only have one sentiment.

This card uses the one sentiment I do own. I have an Authentique 6 x 6 pad I got because it is a postal theme. This paper is great for a base of a cream, red and blue theme. I matched the base, focal image and sentiment background paper using Copic Sketch Marker E50. The flag colors are B28 and R29.

I had my mom run the striped paper through a star and swirl embossing folder which I then softly sponged with Vintage Photo distress ink. The flag is from a retired Stampin Up set I bought on Ebay. I need to research which company sells the sentiment sheet I have with the Happy 4th of July. I am very happy with how this card came out. I am entering this card in the following challenges:

What a great flag image, Tracey, and I love the striped background and embossing in the background! Thanks for sharing this with us at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge!
