3M ATG Tape 1/4" General Use
If you use alot of tape, there is a knock-off brand out there. I've used it and it is only ok....
I stamped a couple of images to color over the weekend (last weekend) and managed to finish the smaller of the two. This much larger image sat at my craft table, beckoning to me every evening this week. I've wanted to color this winter fairy forever and I figured the only way to ensure it gets done is if I leave a stamped blank sitting right in front of me. Tonight there it sat, teasing me yet again. So... I got going on it! My goal was to make it as magical as possible. I am entering this in a few challenges and one is a color challenge so that helped to expedite my color choices.
I knew I would be adding shimmer and twinkle (always required on a magical project) however, once it was colored I had an epiphany! Make a mat that matches the wings! I dug through my paper pads and found the exact match - an irridescent lavender glitter paper. Next, I was too chicken to stamp "Let it Snow" in black, my first thought on the sentiment. I opted instead to die cut the words in the same glittery wing colored paper. Unfortunately the wing color is NOT one of the challenge colors, but I will enter it anyways.
Finally I dug out my Swarovski rhinestones (Yup I feel this was worth the fancy stones) and set them on each snowflake as well as the dots on the headband. To apply these teeny tiny rhinestones I put some glossy accents on my craft mat. I used a corsage pin to dab some glue on the back of the stone and with it still sticking to the end of the pin, I carefully slid it off with my thumb. This was very delicate work that I try to avoid. Finding mats that would fit the the image on an A2 card base was a challenge. This image is often put on a square base. I was glad for my Spellbinders Curved Mats because they were the ONLY set that worked. I pushed myself to use a very old scalloped corner punch and managed to not ruin the whole thing by mis-punching the main image layer. Finally satisfied, I signed it! DONE:)
