July 2018 Colour Combo Blog Hop Many Layered Birthday Card
Today I am joining the talented global crew of Stampin' Up! demonstrators for the July Colour Combo blog hop. My name is Tracy Marie Lewis and I travel full time in an RV throughout the USA. I am living my dream and feel so fortunute to also be able to enjoy my favorite hobby quite often! I hope you enjoy the hop and are inspired by all of the awesome projects presented today. Be sure and leave comments and let us know what you think of our work!
My project combines a bunch of different products resulting in a many layered birthday card. I am a huge fan of anything with stitching so when I bought the "Bunch Of Banners" framelits dies from a fellow crafter, I was very excited to find that the "Birthday Banners" stamp set is all about stitching, it even has a stitched balloon stamp, SWEET!
The biggest challenge for me was figuring out a balanced use of the Petal Pink. The three elements in the pink, which is a nice peachy pink btw, include the white focal background layer which was stamped using a linen texture stamp from the "Touches Of Texture" clear mount stamp set, the long 4 petal flower die from the "Flourish" thinlits die set, and finally, the candle flame. The background is from the new pattern Neutrals designer series paper set. Then as I was digging through embellishments, the iridescent sequins caught my eye. They added just the right amount of bling.
As I was putting all the layers together, I found a half of a pearl doily so of course I had to use it. Now I can call this project finished!
I hope you like my project. Don’t forget to leave a comment before you hop to Cheryl's blog and see her lovely project. Just click on the NEXT image below. If you get lost along the hop, you can use the Blog Hop List below to help guide you along.
