Cinco de Mayo 1990 (5/5/1990) was my wedding day. It was a black and white wedding. It makes for easy anniversary cards. There is no special color or item for the twenty-seventh anniversary so I went with the twenty-fifth anniversary color of silver. I made this card to give to DH so it needed to be as masculine as possible I chose a dark grey wood pattern DSP to help with that goal..

The floral heart is from Stampin' Up - and the Silver glitter paper is from a 12 x 12 paper stack I bought at Joann's . I ran the heart through many times, but never did have to shim and didn't even change the angle of the die. I am very impressed with my Cuttlebug!

The wood pattern and silver frame were cut using rounded corner Spellbinders rectangles. The card base was cut with an EK 1/2" corner punch. I added metallic silver gel pen lines and dots accents. The finishing touch was doodle bug lily white sequins  I popped up the focal image. DH loved it:)

I am entering this project in the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping by!

This card is fantastic!  I am so impressed that you could create this big of a wow-factor with such a beautifully subtle color palette.  It is full of iconic images, yet it's a very original design.  Thank you for sharing your talents with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
