This card has spent all of its life in pieces being shuffled about in my studio. The bits for this card were lost in the shuffle, then were stored in on of our many "paper to sort" boxes. Last week we finally sorted those boxes and I found the bits of this card and put it at the top of my to finish pile.

Back in the day when I first started crafting I made 5 x 7 cards so this card was...

This is the final Valentine I created. I actually started this card second and really struggled with it. I was inspired by a Pinterest pin of a layered, multipattern card with the sentiment "Cheers". I cannot believe I didn't save it... grrrr. I didn't even think about it since it was not a Valentine's card. The way the layers were applied intriqued me. the layers were sewn and I do have a...

Of all the Valentine's day cards, I worked on this project the longest. I started it back when I cut the full die cut floral background. I was waiting for "pink" challenges to make me build this card up into something special. I even had the sentiment stamped and die cut, ready to go. I chose to cut the sentiment using Gina Marie's pierced and stitched scalloped rectangles. The card ended up...

I created a sponged background to use behind a full A2 sized die cut of flowers but these colors were too bold for it (I will write about this card next). So after I completed the white envelope "from the heart" card, I knew I could use this background for another version of it. I liked that I'd left a "path" of lightest pink that worked perfectly for the little hearts to float up into. I...

So, normally I make two Valentine's day cards each year. This year my life has changed, alot. Now that I am retired I have more free time AND I have established bonds with some of my fellow crafters who I plan on sending cards to throughout the year. So I thought what the heck, I have time, I will make some Valentine's to send to my fellow card makers! I will document one each day this week...

I won a card kit prize for my Mushroom Fairy card, which came late last week. Yesterday I got together with my mom to do some crafting. I brought the pieces that I won and the second card I made was this card which used a nice blue and white stamped background with a matching blue ribbon from that kit. I added the thin back blue layer (it is an ombre recollections 12 x 12 sheet from Michaels) ...

I could not resist an "extra" valentine. I am living at my mom's and think this funky valentine card will hit the spot for her husband. He's very artistic and can appreciate quirky things. The pattern paper is from the inside of a business envelope. I had randomly applied Black Enamel Accents to this piece and did not end up using it for a prior project. I tore black card stock as an under...

Floral Frame Take Two - Using Copics

So Happy For You Floral Card in Copic | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

I made two floral frames. This is the first attempt at using thick dies for coloring. The first one I made with stacked watercolor paper, a second stack of 4x dies using Neenah Classic Crest. I matched the watercolors I'd used on the first project to equivalent Copics for this project. Because I use Copice for all of my coloring, I found it much quicker and less messy to use them. I feel that...
