December 2018 - Kre8tors Blog Hop - Christmas
I am excited to share my project for today's Kre8tors blog hop. It will be one of the last opportunities to share my Christmas cards with everyone. I love the creativity of this group, I find everyone's creations so inspiring!
By the time this article posts I will be on my way from Florida to our next location for the rest of the winter, Arizona. My husband and I are from Washington state where the temperatures are in the teens and I am all bundled up here in Florida where it is a cool 60 degrees. How quickly we adapt to our surroundings! In Washington state 60 in the winter would be balmy warm.
Ok, back to my projects. I am going to share a couple of Christmas coloring projects today. Both use the "Happiness & Cheer" clear mount stamp set which is designed for coloring.
The first project is very sweet and looks awesome colored with the Blends. I used: Ivory, Bronze, Soft Sea Foam light and dark, Old Olive light, Shaded Spruce light and dark, Cherry Cobbler light and dark. Daffodil Delight light and dark and Smoky Slate light and dark.
The second project is a very detailed image so I wanted to show off how nice it looks uncolored, a technique a beginning stamper can use. I then followed up with a fully colored version using Blends.
Blends colors used (light and dark): Shaded Spruce, Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, Real Red, Night of Navy, Smoky Slate, Ivory, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Basic Black, Color Lifter.
I also intentionally left off a sentiment, sometimes a picture speaks for itself. The red rhinestones were a nice finishing touch even though I put them on prior to coloring. Today I wanted to throw out the idea that there are many ways to use a large detailed stamp.
I hope you like my project. Don’t forget to leave a comment before you hop to Su and see her lovely project. Just click on the next arrow image below. If you get lost along the hop, you can use the blog hop list below to help guide you along.
