Thankful For You Purple And Green Card
This week is RETREAT week! I absolutely love our craft retreats. This was the first project I worked on because there are so many things to work on I wanted to be sure not to miss the deadline. I made this card on Thursday, the first full day of crafting goodness. Check in is 3pm the day before, but my core set of peeps and I made our dinner as well as started on making the group dinner for Thursday.
This weeks color range is Elegant Eggplant, Perfect Plum, Wisteria Wonder, Greens, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla.
The sunflowers and sentiment are from Painted Harvest. Prior to stamping the purple flowers, white flowers were stamped to ensure contrast between the purple ink between the purples and the Crumb Cake cardstock.
The edges of the top and green layers were distressed with scissors and the top layer was sponged with Crumb Cake ink. I flubbed the sentiment so made a popped up sentiment banner which was also distressed and sponged.
Many folks make gifts for everyone and in one cute 3d papercrafting project was a small selection of ribbon and baker's twine. I used a vintage looking ric-rac ribbon in Very Vanilla with Old Olive stitching. I also added a paper butterfly retreat giff.
Sizes:
focal layer: 3 3/4 x 5
green mat: 4 x 5 1/4
Ah, and last but not least I did sponge the card base edges with Crumb Cake because it was so bright it looked like it was glowing.
I really like how this turned out.
I entered this project in the following challenges:
