Today was one of my favorite kinds of days. It was windy so we decided not to go play disc golf as it would have meant chasing around our discs and that is not any fun at all. Instead, we watched a disc golf tournament on YouTube, streaming it on our ROKU television (the only TV we watch is Prime, Netflix or YouTube - we are very glad our RV came with this particular "Internet Ready" style of TV). While watching live disc golf, I worked on some papercrafting projects.

I just received the cat punch. It has been on my wish list for some time. I had ran out of envelopes and needed to place an order. I should have checked my envelope stash prior to ordering in January. This oversight required a minimum order, which for me is 69.50 to pay the least amount of shipping. I don't often miss something like envelopes, but I had made so many cards for Onstage, Christmas and Valentine's day that I lost track and just plain ran out! I put my hand in to grab an envelope...and there were none! I do always have a long prioritized wish list just in case and I was pleased that the cat punch and stamp set was at the top.

So, of course first things first, I had to make something fun with the cat punch. I did get the stamp set, but ended up making a floral dsp for the cat instead of using the stamps. I stamped a butterfly in Granny Apple Green, then colored it with The Many Marvelous markers using the fine tip end (this was a very small butterfly). I fashioned a pseudo window using Granny Apple Green and Mango Melody cardstock. Never mind that the butterfly is "inside" the window resting on the frame. Let's just say that the window is open on a sunny day. The windows were cut by matching up a Stitched square with a smaller Layering square. Tip: use washi tape to keep them even - be sure to run the piece of washi on your clothing to get it less sticky, less is better or it can tear your cardstock.

I used the sentiment "a little note" from Butterfly Gala bundle. I stamped it using Lovely Lipstick ink, then cut is using the smallest Stitched Rectangle die. and then cut three Lovely Lipstick foil flowers using the four petal flowers from the "Well Said" dies. The foil is a sold out Sale-A-Bration item. Sale-A-Bration ends on March 31st. This is Stampin' Up!s biggest sale of the year where you earn free products for every increment of $50 or $100 you purchase. You can see all of the remaining available items here-> SAB Store Link. Feel free to email me for more details if you are interested in participating in this great sale!

Now back to my cat project. Pool Party cardstock was dry embossed with the Layered Leaves embossing folder. The cat and sentiment are popped up using dimensionals. I used metallic pearls on the Butterfly and for the floral centers.

I am entering this project in the following challenges:
