For the new year, I decided I would be embarking on a new art medium that I have not used before, artist grade colored pencils and watercolor pencils. I've owned the two Stampin' Up! packs of watercolor pencils for awhile now, but I've never learned to use them until very recently. I have a 3 part video series demonstrating techniques, creating focal images, and then I put them on card fronts...
I finally enjoyed another craft day with Libby. This time we chose challenging projects and in the end three projects were completed. However, I will say that we stretched ourselves with this particular project. We attempted it back in December but alas I did not have the correct medium for success so after that discovery I purchased a couple of coloring mediums that Stampin' Up does not carry...
The flower I talk about during Part 1, I use again here, testing it out on Whisper White, with light pressure color followed by very light water to activate the color.
Alas, I did most of the "tips & tricks" talking during the speed coloring so then I created notes throughout the video for you to capture what is relevent to you. I seemed if I did a voice over of all this information...

Boy does it feel like I just posted my last Paper Pumpkin alternative video...oh wait, I DID. On 2/8 I published my Valentine's Day showcase which used the January kit.
I picked up the February kit and immediately jumped into it. The first thing I noticed is that the kit has a very feminine feel to it and after creating two quick feminine layouts, I took on the challenge of making...
Here's the final showcase of my Valenine's Day Cards Including tips and tricks to make the best of your cards! Video length 1 min 46 sec.
I used a few non-Stampin' Up! supplies because they are long time favorites of mine. I have submitted these products to what is called the Sand Box where SU demonstrators submit their suggestions.
I am finishing up my Valentine's Day cards and needed to make an easel to send with some of them. This short video shows how to make it and then how to attach it. Video Length 13 min 15 sec.
- Cut to: 4" x 5"
- Score at: 1", 2 1/2" 4"
Center the easel at the bottom of the card.
For a horizontal tent card cut to: 5" x 5 1/4...
For this third splatter project I changed to the small poppies stamp. The small splatter used very lightly on the grouping of poppies did the trick. The large splatter worked perfectly again on the close up image. The coordinating white crinkle ribbon was colored using a light Pumpkin Pie Blends marker. The pearls were colored with a dark Soft Suede Blends marker. This project strays pretty...
