Swirled Thank You Beginning Stamper & Stepped Up Cards
This project started as the above Sweetly Swirled beginner stamper card. I like the clean and simple style with lots of white space.
One way to make a simple card more interesting is to cut the card front down into a smaller shape and then attach it to a full size base. Another tip if you are limited on ink colors is to ink up your stamp, stamp it, then stamp it in another location...
Black & Very Vanilla Thinking Of You Card
Libby and I crafted twice in August. Our style of crafting is collaborative. Since we craft remotely we use a Pinterest board where we load up various pins such as color challenges and projects we like. Once together we will decide on something to make together. While creating we chat about what we are creating, what is going on etc. Once finished, we load the finished projest so we can see...
Green Watercolor Sprinkles Happy Card
This year Stampin' Up! packaged their own brand of watercolor crystals. The packaging is so much better then the product they had previously, which required that you create your own very tiny opening and keep it closed with a push pin. The Stampin' Up! Sprinkles come packaged in self closing salt shaker style containers that have three tiny holes instead of one so you do have to be careful...
Another NINE Alternatives - September 2019 Paper Pumpkin - Bone Appetit
This month's Paper Pumpkin is a fun one. I love the happy skeletons! There is just a ton of materials in the kit with lots of options for Halloween, Day Of The Dead, or skeleton lover projects. I make 3 simple stamping projects, step them up and then share three more stepped up projects for a total of nine alternatives. Video Length 23 min 37 sec.
Butterfly Shabby Chic Birthday Card
Every year I have the pleasure of making Libby a very special birthday card. I craft with Libby once or twice a month and as the years go by I have the challenge of outdoing previous birthday cards. She loves pink so I have to decide what shades of pink. This year I went with my current favorite stamp set: Very Versailles. I made the background using three colors of pink and Crumb Cake. I...
September 2019 Stamp 'N Hop - Stamp Set or DSP
Howdy from the Pacific Northwest! We have finally had quite a bit of rain in the last week. Overall it has been very dry this summer so the rain is much needed. We have been staying at the Mount Vernon and Birch Bay Thousand Trails, both are great Thousand Trails to visit. Each has its own unique charm.
Today I am joining the Stamp 'N Hop global demonstrator group blog hop. If you came...
Ombre Wash Dragonfly Note Card
After making an inky mess with Libby making sprinkled looking backgrounds, she suggested we CASE a card that uses a watercolor wet brush technique. Our challengs was simple stamping stepped up. So I used Melon Mambo sprinkls and I found that the lighter the wash, the more soft peach it became. You can see some peach brushstrokes - yes those came from the one color of sprinkles even though it...
September 2019 Kre8tors Blog Hop - Brides or Babies
I cannot believe that it is already September! Typically hub and I would be prepping for travel to somewhere south for the winter. However, this year we plan to limit our travels and will stay in the Pacific Northwest along the coast. My fingers are crossed for a mild winter!
Today I am joining the Kre8tors blog hop and our theme this month is either brides or babies. I chose babies...
Seahorse Watercolor Sprinkles Hello Card
The day I made this was an ink messy day! Libby and I made some backgrounds using the new Pigment Sprinkles watercolor crystals. The sprinkles are so fun to work with.
I should note here that a few sprinkles really go a long ways and, I did what is called a wet application, I wet the watercolor paper by spritzing with no crystals first then I added the crystals followed by more...
