Abstract Botanical Basket Weave Thank You Card

Sometimes when you are in the zone, creating away, something goes awry. In this project the Whisper White cardstock shifted in the embossing folder resulting in a crooked pattern. Alas, I did not notice until I'd already adhered it to the mat. 

I decided to add an angled layer behind to help offset the crooked basket weave and though not perfect I think it still makes a nice card. I cut the thinlet a bit to arrange it behind the focal for more interest. The cotton weave ribbon was colored using a Bermuda Bay Marvelous Marker.

Embossed Layer: 3 3/4" x 5"
Mat 1: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
