My Mom's Anniversary Card | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

For my mom's anniversary card I wanted to move away from flowers. I decided to try my hand at an all white card using the Stampin' Up Bird Builder Punch and some new number dies I just bought last month. I wanted a set of large letter and numbers and I was the lucky taker of an LSS 50% off sale for some Little B Monogram Letters back in December. I finally found a good deal on the matching...

One More December Poinsettia Card | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

After finishing forming the Punched out petals of yesterday's card, I remembered another really cool Stampin' Up stamp set with a Poinsettia. This time I chose to make a Christmas Card because I really like the Christmas sentiment that comes with the set AND, I can never have too many Christmas Cards on hand! I used Stazon Jet Black and stamped the flower with one leaf partially off the page...

December Birth Month Poinsettia Card | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

My birth month is December and I am in flower making mode so I formed these petals that I cut from the Stampin' Up Blossom Builder Punch. I've added a picture  below showing which petals I used where. I sponged the edges of the flowers with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I really worked them, forming veins first the breaking down the fibers and finishing up using tweezers to curl the edges. I...

Frogs Eating Dragonflies Card

Frogs Eating Dragonflies Card | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

I bought a set of Memory Box frog dies some time ago and haven't had the chance to use them. The dragonflies were on clearance from Whimsy Stamps awhile back. I used Studio Calico papers that I had left over from when I was a kit subscriber with them. The dark paper is a Cor'dination from Ranger. I  don't own any frog sentiment stamps so I researched cute frog phrases at Splitcoast Stampers...

SCS Multi Challenge Circles Hello Card

SCS Multi Challenge Circles Hello Card

This card was difficult for me in a couple of ways. I am NOT a one layer card maker so every element I wanted had to be integrated into the base. I also do not often participate in the Splitcoast Stampers (SCS) color challenges, but I had recently purchased an Authentique 6x6 pad that I had just received and looked through. It had a nice selection of patterned papers in the coral, teal and...

Love Clean and Simple | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

My husband likes clean and simple cards, with bright colors. So this is what I made for him and gave to him this morning for Valentine's day. I used a Gina Marie stitched heart die as well as the largest Gina Marie Stitched Rectangle die. I used a Paper Smooches Bold Buzzwords sentiment with StazOn Jet Black ink. I am entering this card in the...

Love Now and Forever Card

Love Now and Forever Card | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

I made a mess of this one! But in a good way:) I started on a white base, I always use 110lb bases so I was hopeful I could spritz this ALOT and not have it warp too badly. But before I could get to spritzing I needed to put my main sentiment on using versamark and red heat embossing powder. Most of my heat embossing powders I've kept from my D.O.T.S. stamping days and after 24 years they...

White Stitched Circles and Butterflies Congratulations Card

White Stitched Circles and Butterflies Congratulations Card | www.stuffnthingz.com

This white card started out as a mockup for a different card that I liked well enough to make it into a card on its own merit. I gave it a spritz with silver spray, not alot, just a little and coming from one angle. I popped out the circles and arranged them so that the lighter splatter circles were placed in the heaviest splatter areas. I then took three white butterflies, a small, medium and...

Tissue Paper Technique - Second Attempt

Publish Date:
2/11/2016

After my failed first try at this technique, I put more thought into my overall design. One of the disappointments of the first card is that I chose that sparkly, twinkly lavender under layer that peeked out the edges 1/8" but turned the tissue paper into a dull grey. Very bad choice of color there. So this time around I chose colors better suited for a rustic distressed look. Green and a dark...

Stamp A Stack Card #1 - Bears: my class version | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

BONUS UPDATE: My cohort in crafting crime brought me her "altered" version of this card. We both weren't thrilled with the subject matter. You can see it below, it is the last picture. I like that she took the provided brown base and ran it through with a wood grain embossing folder. Then she used  a generous amount of dark brown sponging on both the base and the pink. I like her vertical...
