Because of the Splitcoast Stampers directive to use humor for this week's "ways to use it" challenge, I got out my two Deep Red humor sentiments. I finished the first project. It came out very nice, with a more serious look about it, typical of a card I would make. For this sentiment I thought I'd add a level of complexity and use today's SCS Inspiration Challenge which is a minimalist...

Stamp A Stack Card #5 - Tea Cups My Version | www.stuffnthingz.com

This is my final Stamp A Stack (SAS) card re-do. My friend just asked me if perhaps re-do'ing these cards is somehow offensive. So I want to explain a bit more about my own concept of changing someone's design from a paid for event. First of all I enjoy these events. I go as much to make new projects as to visit with my crafting pals. Yes by signing up for the event I am signing up to be...

Senile Friends Card

Senile Friends Card | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

I put this card together to satisfy two Splitcoast Stampers challenges. Use humor and use something related to the postal system. I started with a Holtz embossing folder with Air Mail stamps. I decided to color the folder with Memento Paris Dusk on a cream base. I then sponged the edges using two distress inks colors: Antique Linen all around and Walnut Stain on the four corners. Then on the...

For this project I actually read the challenges and understood the one to be CAS (Clean and Simple). However try as I might, I was just not satisfied with anything really simple and this was the closest I could get.

Another Challenge that inspired this project is this weeks Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Inspired by a song. It so happens theres a pretty current dance song in 70s...

Birthday Balloon Floating Cat Card

I made this for Newton's Nook Color Challenge #29. I used a Darice embossing folder and inked it up with two colors, then spritzed with water. For the first attemp I did not spritz and the ink was too streaky and unnatural looking. I like how the spritz version turned out much better.

I colored Newton a grey tabby color with a little white. I gave him a bit of mottled soft coloring...

Let It Snow - Winter Fairy Halla | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

I stamped a couple of images to color over the weekend (last weekend) and managed to finish the smaller of the two. This much larger image sat at my craft table, beckoning to me every evening this week. I've wanted to color this winter fairy forever and I figured the only way to ensure it gets done is if I leave a stamped blank sitting right in front of me. Tonight there it sat, teasing me yet...

Branch Thank You For a Special Friend | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

I need a very simple thank you for a friend who manages my mail box service. She is a great lady and has found a new job with full benefits and a pension plan. I will miss her greatly. I knew I wanted something really clean and simple but very unique. The center of each flower is a seed bead from a bracelet I have had forever. The clasp broke long ago and I've kept the bracelet to do something...

This card I created for use in my day job. I looked through my thank you card stash and alas none were appropriate and our team needed a card that better fit the situation. Then I rememberd my new Gina Marie mountain scene die set that I haven't used yet. I already had the tree cut out because I was going to put flowers on it (I am in flower mode right now).

I like to use patterned...

I made this card for a few challenges but my notes I wrote regarding the one challenge using materials making up the word LOVE is the Splitcoast Stampers CAS (Clean and simple) challenge, which made me laugh "after" I'd finished. I am a more is always better kind of crafter so without those three critical letters, this is what you get:) It wasnt until I was surfing through the Inspiration site...

Stamp A Stack Card #4 - Fish Card My Version | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

Today I am going to post another Stamp A Stack card. This is a card that I liked. I like narrower frames, so first thing's first, I trimmed off some of the coral mat for a 1/8th edge.

But, that was not enough, it needed a little something more. I wanted to make bubbles. I looked at a variety of embellishments that could achieve the bubbles look. What I decided on is not a papercrafting...
