Botanical Blooms Card | Tracy Marie Lewis |

In April I attended our spring craft bazaar. I like to have some crafty tasks to work on during the idle time so I cut a bunch of flowers and leaves using the Stampin' Up Botanical Bloom dies. I opted not to buy the stamps as I like to doodle and my task at the bazaar was to add lines to the leaves. The elements were cut from Recollections 65lb cardstock in fall colors (not sure why since it...

I've had 2 musical note dies for some time now. I finally found a layout for one of them. I put this design together that uses The US National Anthem song as its theme. I used my xyron to make a blue sticker which my mom then cut into the musical notes for me. I used a Darice embossing folder on the red base for the stars.

I lightly colored the flag in R37. The background on the flag is...

For my recovery this week I am trying to work a little on cards each day. My mom still helps with some steps, like running dies through her BigShot for me. I am working on 4th of July theme cards right now. I do not own many stamps and only have one sentiment.

This card uses the one sentiment I do own. I have an Authentique 6 x 6 pad I got because it is a postal theme. This paper is...

I am now able to do some crafting as long as I have help. My mom graciously helped me with this project today. I already had the embellishments ready to go. I opened a brand new Hero Arts Ombre ink pad and used a sponge to color the background. This ink pad is three separate pads going from light to dark. My mom graciously cutt out the die cut elements in her bigshot and helped put together...

I brought all of my colored pens with me to the last retreat. I just grabbed them without looking and I am so glad that I didn't look close because in the cases were some old flourescent Gelly Roll pens which happen to coordinate very well with the Copic Flourescent markers. I enjoyed coloring a bunch of Holtz Bird Crazy birds at the retreat. I also cut out a bunch of accessories to color...

Watercolor Wishes | Tracy Marie Lewis |

Yes! Another retreat has come and gone. I had an opportunity to go to a Mother's Day weekend retreat. The timing was perfect for me because we chose that weekend to list our home and being gone meant that I did not have to leave for every showing. I worked on 5 projects in the 3 days. I brought two Stampin Up kits, Watercolor Wishes and Tin of Cards as well as a Simon Says Stamp kit from last...

Bird Crazy Anniversary Card

I have been watching Tim Holtz Bird Crazy projects on Pinterest with great interest. I knew that I wanted to create some fun cards using these stamps and Copic Flourescent Sketch markers. I collected all of the materials to take with me at the Mother's Day craft retreat last weekend. I spent a whole day coloring birds and accessories. Then I made a couple of cards.

This card is for my...

Stampin' Up Camp Cards | Tracy Marie Lewis |

In March, I attended my third Stampin' Up Stamp Camp. I enjoy these events because there are multiple demonstrators and each teaches one or two projects. I get to use alot of SU products in one day and I get to visit with my crafting friends. Here's the run down of the projects.

My favorite was the tri-fold art. I own the stamp set and liked the clever use of punches for the feet and...
