I could not resist an "extra" valentine. I am living at my mom's and think this funky valentine card will hit the spot for her husband. He's very artistic and can appreciate quirky things. The pattern paper is from the inside of a business envelope. I had randomly applied Black Enamel Accents to this piece and did not end up using it for a prior project. I tore black card stock as an under...

So Happy For You Floral Card in Copic | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

I made two floral frames. This is the first attempt at using thick dies for coloring. The first one I made with stacked watercolor paper, a second stack of 4x dies using Neenah Classic Crest. I matched the watercolors I'd used on the first project to equivalent Copics for this project. Because I use Copice for all of my coloring, I found it much quicker and less messy to use them. I feel that...

Winter Magic Card | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

This card was made from the spare parts bins. I save bits and pieces in 4 x 6 photo cases. Periodically I will sift through them to make a card from the extras. I finally had a nice collection to make this winter scene. The stitched frame is a leftover from a 25 card swap I did last fall. It has been challenging to use these up. I keep a barebones woodland stash as I like to have birch trees...

Now that my Valentine cards are complete it is time to make something just for fun. I used the SplitCoast Stampers Color Challenge for this week. I then added Clear Rock Candy Stickles on top of the ice Cream to give it a shiny appearance. I used the Copic Blender pen extensively to bring out highlights in the Ice Cream and the cone as well as the background.

I just received two Penny...

I need one more Valentine card. Each year I make one for my mom and another for my husband. This will be for my husband. I have posted before how he likes vivid colors. I like to challenge him back by making his cards in the clean and simple style but with very intense colors. He also likes the blueprints style of stamps. I hope he enjoys this one.

I used the Splitcoast Stampers color...

Copper Floral So Happy For You Card | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

This project was so much fun to make. I haven't done much with watercolors in a very long time and I just received my Penny Black floral dies. I couldn't wait to get to cutting and glueing these together in a thick stack for watercoloring. I chose to use my Zig Clean Color Brushes.

After coloring the framed floral image I used a Metallic Copper gel pen to line the leaves and edge the...

Chill Wall Art | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

I am not done creating art for my walls yet. You might at this point be asking, what is the big deal with making all this art? Well, I am retiring from my IT job this Friday. I've worked a stressful IT job for 31 years now with some marketing time in there, but I was in a technical role all 31 years. So these art work snippets with their silly words and phrases are going to help me to "chill"...

Kitty Love Valentine | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

It is rare that I take on sketch challenges. I find it hard to color in the lines so to speak. Today I thought I would push myself and finish one of the two valentines I make each year using this weeks Splitcoast Stampers Sketch Challenge. I had colored this cute Crissy Armstrong kitty a few weekends back and finally got the chance to use it. I am very light on heart shaped dies so the tiny...
